Who Should Apply for Membership?

Goal Statements
- Establish the framework for the efficient exchange of
cross-border, batch-oriented, and electronic corporate and consumer payment transactions.
- Develop a set of principles, rules, and standards to which
participants agree in order to achieve positive modifications in cross-border electronic payments.
- Examine the ever-evolving global trends in payments regulations
and how payment liquidity can be successfully managed within international markets.
- Develop a global payments certification and education program.
Some of the topics would include operations, risk management, correspondent banking, and collateral and liquidity management.
- Directly influence and offer ongoing input into the program
development of the Global Electronic Payments Conference. Members of the conference planning committee are selected from representatives of the Global Payments Forum.
- Facilitate the adoption of generic principles that could be applied
in any country's domestic payment system to achieve the STP of batched-oriented, electronic cross-border transfers.
- Create educational products to assist stakeholders in
implementing cross-border payments, analyze risk, and market the cross-border concept.

Forum Activities
Forum members actively participate in the annual Global Electronic
Payments Conference. Forum meetings, held three times annually, are comprised of educational sessions, industry updates, cost savings
ideas, group discussion and debate, and stimulating and relevant dialogue. The Forum also holds interim meetings, as needed, to focus
on specific tasks or meet with representatives of other countries' payment systems.
Membership Cost: $4,200 annually
